It's finally time to announce the date for our gigantic sixth birthday celebration this fall! We know you have no control over ballgames and weddings and visits from in-laws, but we do want to give you the chance to save a date that is going to be a special day for us -- and you're all invited!

We've been planning this for months, and decided to let you in on the news. When you start planning fall activities, be sure to make room for a day of fun with the gang at SG on Saturday, November 6.

Our sixth birthday party is going to be the biggest celebration we've hosted, and you know we've had some great ones!

Here's what we know so far...specific details will follow at a later date.

· Tote bags filled with scrapbooking goodies for the first 200 customers;

· Our front table will be mounded over with 200 "birthday presents," and the first 200 customers each get to unwrap one -- some of the prizes will be worth over $200;

· Free SG page kit with purchase;

· "Super-Saver Scrapbooking" sessions at a special price, and with some unbelievable free gifts to help you create three awesome layouts;

· Free mini-classes all day long;

· Door prizes, door prizes, and more door prizes;

· Birthday snack buffet featuring gourmet cupcakes and other yummy treats;

· And there will be more. What's a birthday without a few surprises!

So mark Saturday, November 6 with a big red circle on your calendar, and count down the days with us!

Need to shop?
Scrapbook Generation is open from 10 am until 5 pm on Monday, May 31 -- Memorial Day.
See ya!

Several new groups have arrived at Scrapbook Generation this week. Fancy Pants has filled a much-needed category with a great group called "Like Father, Like Son." Great masculine colors and themes!

From We R Memory Keepers, a huge school collection. As a former teacher, school would be the last thing I'd usually be thinking about at this time of year, but with Drew starting kindergarten this fall, I may have to indulge! As usual, in addition to papers and stickers, we have paper pads, cardstock pads, pre-made layouts, and those awesome 99-cent acrylic stamp sets.

And for something totally different, we have two pastel groups from Melissa Frances, and there are several mini-albums unlike anything you've seen before.

Memorial weekend news...
Scrapbook Generation will be open Monday, but with holiday hours. We'd love to have you stop by from 10 - 5. Hope you all have a safe and happy weekend.

Scrap-a-Palooza update...
There are now less than 90 spots available in our mega-fun mega crop at Remington's, set for June 26. Chris Louzader from the radio station gives me an update every week, and the crop is filling fast. With almost a month to go, this one is way ahead of the sign-up rates from the past. If you plan to go, please don't wait too late to confirm your spot. If you've attended before, you know what a bargain the $49 price is for what you get and for what you do! To sign up, just go to scrapbookgeneration.com for a link to the radio station registration page.

This week, I'll be ordering a whole new store to take with us. We always tell you that there will be 40-50 new paper collections that haven't been sold here yet, but this time I think we may go OVER 50. This is the most fun part of my job. I love to shop for you!

Guest teacher Tammy Tutterow classes update...
The Saturday class is full, and now there are only three spots left in the Friday evening class, the "Count It All Joy" mini-album using lots of fun supplies by Tattered Angels. We're so excited about the fun weekend we'll all have learning new things from this special guest.

Retreat registration update...
Don't forget that Tuesday, June 1 is the day that registration opens for our two fall retreats in Branson. If you attended one of SG's spring retreats, you have the month of June to register before we open up any remaining spots to others on July 1. Your weekend choices are October 15-17 and October 22-24.

Another update about guest teacher Tammy Tutterow's class on Saturday, June 12...it's full! Wish we had a larger seating area in our classroom! If you are interested in the class but didn't get enrolled in time, we only have three kits available.

Tammy is sending us the model for the Friday evening mini-album, and just guessing by the response to the other class, this one will fill quickly as well. This one doesn't lend itself as easily to a kit, since you'll be stamping, spritzing, and learning other fun techniques.

On another topic, my second mistake in the June-July newsletter was forgetting to let you know that we'll be open holiday hours on Memorial Day -- 10 am - 5 pm -- instead of being open until 7 pm as usual.

Update...only two spots left in Tammy Tutterow's Saturday class!
As many of you know by now, Scrapbook Generation is hosting a guest teacher in June. We're fortunate to be offering two classes by scrapbooking expert Tammy Tutterow, who has amazing credentials. Tammy is an endorsed educator for Prima, Graphic 45, Tattered Angels, and Bazzill. She is on several manufacturers' Design Teams, creates CHA display projects for BasicGrey and Pink Paislee, and has been published in numerous magazines and idea books. Her latest honor is that she will soon be teaching online classes for Big Picture Scrapbooking!

Tammy also has a Springfield connection -- she's the daughter of Shirley Hall, who many of you will know through scrapbooking activities in this area.

Friday, June 11 at 6 pm, Tammy will teach "Count It All Joy" mini-album, pictured below. You'll learn how to colorize paper, ribbon, tape, fabric, and more. Fee for the class is $20.

Saturday, June 12 at 10 am, Tammy will teach "Le' Romantique" accordion album, pictured below. You'll make the book completely from scratch and then fill in with tons of pickets, tags, and even a book within the book. Fee is $30. (Heads up -- only six of the 20 spots are still available!)

Saturday afternoon, June 12, Tammy will be teaching a free mini-class from 1-4 pm. She'll be showing everyone how to make the gorgeous 3-D flowers pictured below from the "flower pot" cardstock flowers, a new product from Bazzill.

To sign up for the Friday night or Saturday morning class, just call 417-886-0440.
