Today's the day!
It's official.
On Monday, October 11, 2004, Scrapbook Generation opened its doors for the first time.
Six years later, it's fun to look back and see how everything has changed.

It always makes me smile when I remember how adamant Stacey was that she would work at the store, but that she was not going to "do crafts." Karin didn't know the difference between Stickles and Diamond Glaze. And Allison had to be walked through every single step of making her first layout to display here at the store.

Now, as most of you know, Stacey creates beautiful cards and teaches great classes; Karin speaks fluent "scrapbook" and apparently knows the name of every person who walks in the store; and Allison, well, her talents and honors and accomplishments have helped propel us to a very happy place.

I'll have to say that these six years have been some of the happiest in my life. I've loved the fact that we've created something from nothing, and that it has been a success. I've loved working with my crazy family. And I've loved meeting so many scrapbookers who have become our friends.

This is a great time to remind you how much the four of us appreciate your business. We know that there are tons of other places you can shop for scrapbooking supplies, and we're always honored when you choose us. Thanks for supporting us along our journey...it continues to be a challenge we enjoy each and every day!

I agree with Penny, you are all such hard workers. And yes, Karin knows my name and I only come about 4-6 times a year.

We will be there on the sixth to wish you all a happy birthday. Karin would have to have a really bad memory to forget my name and much as I'm in there and as long as my ticket is usually. You are our main place for all the action. Thanks for getting all the great paper and stuff for us.
