Sometimes we change things!
After Stacey and Karin spent yesterday flooded with emails and phone calls from people who want to upgrade their Super Sketch Club membership to the Double Up plan, they decided it would be much better for everyone if this option were available in our online store.
Hopefully, this will make it easier for everyone! Just make sure when you sign up online (and you only have to do this once!) that you are aware that choosing this option means that your club fee will be $30 each month instead of $20. This is something you only need to do once!
Thanks for being patient with us as we work out all the kinks in this new system. Sometimes we are definitely a work in progress!

January's 'Sketch Day One'...changes and choices!
We hope you can join us January 12, as we start the new format for our twice-a-month Saturday sketch sessions by Debbie Sanders and Allison Davis! The layouts above are the choices for our January Sketch Day One sessions.
What hasn't changed:
• Bring basic tools and adhesives;
• Pre-register for sessions at 10am or 2:30 pm by calling 417-886-0440;
• Make one double-page layout;
• Pay for papers used -- the total usually comes to a little over $4.
What has changed:
• Instead of one free computer sketch, you receive two free computer sketches;
• Instead of a layout designed by Debbie one week and a layout designed by Allison the next week, both will be making a layout both weeks. You'll choose to make the layout you like the best.
Your new options:
• If you want to make both the Debbie and Allison layouts from a particular Saturday, you can order a duplicate set of paper when you register by phone or in person. All duplicate sets of paper orders must be placed prior to the Saturday class.
• If you want to purchase the embellishment add-on (shown below), you can order it when you register. This embellishment is not used on the layout samples shown above, but is offered for those of you who want to add another level of interest and creativity to your pages. All embellishment add-on orders must be placed prior to the Saturday class.
SUPER SKETCH CLUB MEMBERS:
What hasn't changed:
• Materials or price.
What has changed about this segment of the club:
• Instead of one free computer sketch, you receive two free computer sketches;
• Instead of a layout designed by Debbie one week and a layout designed by Allison the next week, both will be making a layout both weeks. You'll choose to make the layout you like the best.
Your new options:
• If you occasionally want to make both the Debbie and Allison layouts from a particular Saturday, you can order a duplicate set of paper ONLINE ONLY at scrapbookgeneration.com. (Limited number of extra sets available. Once they sell out, the option is unavailable. Click here to order.)
• You can choose to order the embellishment that coordinates with the layouts this week. The embellishment this week is a $2.99 sticker sheet. This embellishment is not used on the layout samples, but is offered for those of you who want to add another level of interest and creativity to your pages. (Limited number of embellishment add-ons available ONLINE ONLY at scrapbookgeneration.com. Once they sell out, the option is unavailable. This add-on does not increase your shipping fee! Click here to order.)
Options for Super Sketch Club members:
• If you know that you'll ALWAYS want to be able to make both the Debbie and Allison layouts, you can enroll in Super Sketch Club Double Up. For an additional $10 per month, you'll receive a duplicate set of identical materials for the Sketch Day One and Sketch Day Two portions of the club. (By doing this, you will be able to make both Allison layouts and both Debbie layouts that will be shown on the blog each month.) Sign up for Double Up by calling 417-886-0440 or by sending an email to stacey@scrapbookgeneration.com.
Special Note:
I've tried to make the changes clear, but it is a lot of information and you may still have questions. If you do, the quick way to get an answer would be to just leave a comment on this post and I'll answer you just as soon as possible. Thanks! -- Debbie
Birthday cards with Lindsey!
Lindsey Amschler's Saturday card class was so popular last month that it was a unanimous decision for it to be a regular event!
Join Lindsey Saturday, January 19 at 11 am and make these absolutely adorable birthday cards. You'll be creating some fun things, like rosettes and paper bows!
Fee for the class is $15. To sign up and pre-pay, just call us at 417-886-0440. Class size is limited, so I would advise signing up quickly! (Sorry, no kits available for this class.)

Behind the scenes...
I'm loving all the compliments Allison (who created the beautiful layout for the book cover) and I are getting over the new Sketch Fusion book, but there are others involved in this project that I want to mention.
We were on a pretty tight time schedule to get the cover done for catalogs and publicity. Allison -- who luckily works well under pressure -- created the layout with the new 24/Seven collection. Once that was completed, we turned everything over to Stacey, who designed the cover of my dreams! She did what I think is a perfect job of changing the style of our covers to meet our new focus. She really has a talent for design, and I appreciate that she can make our ideas and concepts come to life on the printed page.
For three weeks now, with the holidays right in the middle of everything, Allison and I have been working on nothing but our regular club kits and Sketch Fusion. And we're not through yet! During all this time, Karin and Stacey, along with Lindsey, have kept the store running, which has allowed us the time we needed without other responsibilities. Without them making sure that we were kept free of other pressures, there is no way we would be this far along with the book.
If there were ever a group project by SG, Sketch Fusion is it. Thanks to Stacey and Karin and Lindsey for working so hard behind the scenes to make it all possible!

Urban Traveler...
The third new collection by Simple Stories, Urban Traveler, is what many of us have been looking for -- a travel collection with lively, vivid, bright, fun colors. It works for cruises, road trips, city travel, and even just general boy pages. Having already seen it in person and made layouts with it, I can tell you that it is such a welcome change from dark and muted travel papers. I love it, and I know you will, too!
Our bundle idea for combining the new Simple Stories collections with the new Scrapbook Generation's Sketch Fusion with Simple Stories print book and e-book in discounted packages through our online store has been so well-received that we're going to expand the options. We're waiting on a complete price list, then once we get that, we'll have so many combinations for you to choose from that your head will spin!
Hoping to have all that information to you early next week. We'll do pre-orders so that we have an idea of how much to order.
Thanks again for the overwhelming response to the Sketch Fusion book! To see the entire Urban Traveler collection, click here.
And don't forget that our giveaway contest here and on Facebook runs through January 16. You can comment on the January 2 blog post below about the Sketch Fusion book for a chance to win a 24/Seven collection pack and the Sketch Fusion book!

Overwhelmed...and happy!
Thank you! We've overwhelmed with the response, both here and on the Simple Stories blog and on Facebook, to the Sketch Fusion partnership. Reading all the comments has been heartwarming, to say the least. We're so glad that you are embracing this concept!
What we think you'll love about the sketches sums up the whole concept. Since Simple Stories uses the same format of blocks and strips in each of its paper collections, you'll be able to use Sketch Fusion not only with the three new collections, but also with EVERY Simple Stories collection!
We'll be offering every single piece of all three new collections in our online store and in our Springfield store.
Best of all? In our online store we'll be offering a bundle of all three new collection packs and the Sketch Fusion book at a discounted price! For those of you who prefer the Sketch Fusion e-book, there will a separate bundle for that book and the collections packs!
As soon as Simple Stories reveals the third new collection, we'll provide all the bundle details! Check back for all the information.
Here are the two Simple Stories collections revealed so far: 24/Seven and Vintage Bliss. You can see more of both by clicking here.

Sketch Fusion with Simple Stories!
Scrapbook
Generation and Simple Stories.
Two companies, each with the mission of
making scrapbooking quick, easy, and creative. Each designing products
so that scrapbookers can spend more time making memories instead of
recording them.
We're thrilled to announce that Scrapbook Generation and Simple Stories have joined forces to introduce an exclusive idea book, Scrapbook Generation's Sketch Fusion with Simple Stories.
The book features all-new sketch blueprints that blend perfectly with
the unique format of Simple Stories papers and signature elements for
quick and creative scrapbooking.
It's
a match made in heaven. Great papers. Great sketches. A fusion of two
creative forces, showing just how easy it is to create stunning
traditional layouts with the innovative Simple Stories products.
Designed by creative-duo Allison Davis and Debbie Sanders, Scrapbook Generation's Sketch Fusion with Simple Stories
showcases 24 fun and functional sketches, along with 24 beautiful
full-color layout examples. With exact measurements and positions of
photos, papers and elements, Sketch Fusion is a must-have resource for
anyone who loves the Simple Stories format.
The
layouts and sketches in the book feature not only the three newest
collections from Simple Stories (24/Seven and two other great lines that will be announced later this week), but also SN@P, Harvest Lane, Handmade Holidays, and Take A Hike.
Scrapbook Generation's Sketch Fusion with Simple Stories debuts in the Simple Stories booth at the winter CHA in Anaheim, starting January 12. Retailers can place orders at the show or by contacting stacey@scrapbookgeneration.com.
SG will take pre-orders for Scrapbook Generation's Sketch Fusion with Simple Stories from individuals at a date we'll announce soon. A downloadable Sketch Fusion e-book -- exactly like the print book -- will be available at scrapbookgeneration.com. At this time, we anticipate shipping in early March. Our releases will be timed to coordinate with the release of the new Simple Stories collections.
For
more information about the new Simple Stories collections, click here.
You can also check them out on Facebook.
Now for some fun. We're giving away
one 24/Seven collection pack and one Sketch Fusion book. Just
let us know what you think by posting a comment and you'll be entered to
win. We'll leave comments open until January 16 and announce the lucky
winner on January 17!
The second new sketches book from Scrapbook Generation is One on One
by Debbie Sanders, and just like the name implies, is a collection of
one-page, one-photo designs. Each of the 24 sketches features one
uncropped 4x6 or 6x4 photo, with artful layering of papers and
embellishments. Also included, a full-color layout example of each
sketch. This book has a release date of mid-March, and will also be
available in e-book format.

Happy new year!
We hope that 2012 has been a good year for you. As always, we remain extremely aware of the fact that we owe everything to our wonderful customers, both here in Springfield and online. Both groups are special to us!
We're also excited about all the great things taking shape for us in 2013!
Don't miss our new product reveal tomorrow, January 2. We'll be sharing information about the two new products Scrapbook Generation is releasing for winter CHA. One we've talked about previously. The other, well, it includes a partnership that we think you'll agree is heavenly! We're counting down the hours until we can share the news with you!
Stay tuned!
