The Making Memories "I Do" collection has arrived at Scrapbook Generation! Beautiful albums, regular and specialty papers, and some awesome embellishments.

I promised I'd post an agenda for Scrap-a-Palooza today, so here it is, minus the times. All the big-screen demos and the big-screen class are by Allison Davis. Each time we do a treasure chest drawing, we'll load the chest with $30-$50 worth of goodies, and draw the names of five people to come to the front. They'll each get a key, but only one key will unlock the treasure chest!

Scrap-a-Palooza update...
Just talked to Chris Louzader at the radio station, and we've passed the 160 mark in registration for this Saturday's Scrap-a-Palooza at Remington's. There are only 30-something spots left in the second go-around of our mega-fun mega-crop. Hope to see you there! Call us if you have any questions. A few people have had trouble with the online registration, but you can always call the radio station directly and sign up that way. If you don't have the number, just give us a call and we'll be happy to help.

Already signed up for Scrap-a-Palooza? Read on.
-- This time around, the radio station is not sending out tickets. Just check in with your last name. Groups can check in under the name of the person who ordered the tickets.
-- Doors will open at 8:30 am, and there will be valet/helpers to assist you in unloading your vehicle. Just go ahead and drive up to the orange cones.
-- Seating should be much easier this time -- we have a system that we think will work for such a large group.
-- A few extension cords and power strips will be available, but if you bring electronic items, it wouldn't hurt to have your own cords, just in case.
-- Several vendors will be there for other shopping besides scrapbooking supplies.
-- Chair massages will also be available.
-- Drinks provided with registration will be bottled water, sodas, and iced tea. For an extra charge, a coffee company will be there with some specialty brews.
-- Menu for the day includes pastries and fruit for breakfast; turkey and cheddar sandwiches, chips, tossed salad with ranch or raspberry-walnut vinaigrette dressings, and chocolate chip cookies for lunch; and parmesan-crusted chicken breast, strawberry-spinach salad, fresh baked rolls with sweet cream butter, and lemon squares for dinner.
-- Yummy extras include a chocolate fountain with all sorts of goodies for dipping, our signature nut and M & M mixture, and an afternoon pizza surprise!

Retreat update...
Scrapbook Generation's fall weekend retreats in Branson have been filling up quickly this time around! For those of you who have been procrastinating, there are only seven spots left in the October 23 weekend.

Scrap-a-Palooza update...
Had I mentioned that we're going to have to rent a U-Haul truck this time to move all the stuff I've ordered just for this event? I think I've gotten a little carried away! I'd show you pictures of the new products, but we've just been opening boxes, pricing stuff, and boxing it back up in anticipation of the big move! There's so much cute stuff! Hope you're going to be joining us on Saturday, June 13 at Remington's.

News of the day!
Scrapbook Generation is excited to announce that we will be participating in the Vendor Faire at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Tulsa in August! You'll find our booth in the middle of all the action, and we'll be focusing on selling three main product lines -- our page kits, our club kits, and our sketch books! Hope to see you there! I'll tell you more as soon as I have more information.

If you aren't already signed up for the June "Super-Saver Scrapbooking" sessions at Scrapbook Generation this Saturday, the three layouts above are what you'll be missing...at a price of $9 for all three double-page layouts! We'll be using one of those cool birthday-shaped die-cut papers by ANW/Crestwood that have been so popular.

Sessions are at 10, 11:30, 1, and 2:30. Like usual, the morning sessions have the fewest openings. Hope to see you Saturday. Call or stop by to register and pre-pay.

Scrap-a-Palooza, here we come! This is a photo of part of the crowd at January's Scrap-a-Palooza at Remington's event center here in Springfield. The mega-crop for 200 people is a collaboration of Scrapbook Generation and the Midwest Family Broadcast Group, which is actually just across the street from us!

January's event sold out with 200 people, and the numbers of people registering for the June 13 event are growing every day! We'll crop, eat, laugh, and learn for 13 hours!

We're so grateful to My Mind's Eye for donating all the materials for an awesome 12x12 layout that Allison will be teaching, free, to all 200 croppers, via a huge big-screen. Ali's also been working hard on four other demos she'll do on the big-screen. She's even managed to impress her mother! A few days ago, she brought me four page-long outlines of the products and techniques she'll be doing in the demos, and I'm wondering what she's done with the Allison I had in my English I class back in 1995! She's going to be showcasing both techniques you can use with items you probably already have, like circle punches, and also showing techniques for new products like Smooch accent ink. She's also had lots of fun working with the Tim Holtz alcohol ink techniques she'll show everyone.

The rest of us around here are working on packing the goodie bags everyone will get, and getting all the new products ready. We had a large store at Scrap-a-Palooza in January, but we're making it even bigger in June! And like I've mentioned before, we have several new shipments that are going to debut at Scrap-a-Palooza before they are put out for sale here at Scrapbook Generation.

You'll be seeing tons of new Prima products (not just flowers, but bead and crystal accents and more), several glittery collections by Best Creations (including Easter, Fourth of July, kites, and baseball, plus solid "non-shedding" glitter papers that will work in a Cricut), a huge amount of new papers and embellishments by KI Memories, new 12x12 templates by Crafters Workshop (including the great circle one that Ali used last time in a demo and we sold out of), three new vintage collections by Graphic 45, the "I Do" wedding collection by Making Memories, some groups from Sassafras Lass, tons of new stuff from Creative Imaginations (including a lot of die-cut papers), liquid "pearls" and sparkle fibers by Colorbox/Clearsnap, Adirondack alcohol inks by Tim Holtz, more styles of edger punches by EK Success, new acrylic shapes by Clear Scraps, new "chunky" glitter sets by Doodlebug, new Thickers letter sets from American Crafts, and we've re-ordered the entire "Breaking Free" summer collections by My Mind's Eye for those of you who may have missed it the first time around here at SG.

Wow! Since Monday morning when registration for open spots began, we've signed up 26 people for Scrapbook Generation's two fall retreats in Branson. With the people who had already signed up during May's registration for those who had attended before, we're down to only about a dozen spots left!

We've been drooling over the new Jenni Bowlin Studio goodies all day! There are four sets of papers, and the most unique embellishments we've seen for some time. If you love vintage, or just want "something different" to spice up your pages, you'll love the calendar die-cuts, the journaling shapes, the tickets, the chipboard buttons, the letter stickers, and most of all...the bingo cards, both large and small. The small ones come in sets, and most of the larger ones are sold as individuals. However, there are two large sets, one with a patriotic theme and one with a birthday theme. I want them all!

I don't normally put pictures of our club kits on the Scrapbook Generation blog, but I'll have to admit that I think the June kits are some of our best work! Allison and I have a "trash-talking mother-daughter my-kit-is-better-than-your-kit" conversation each month. This month, my favorite of all the kits is her Boy Crazy (second from the top). The stitched car, train, and airplane are totally cute, and everyone in the club gets an entire canister of Crate Paper chipboard letters to use for the title!

Since we have new people signing up each month, we always make extra kits. If you want to get in on the June kits pictured above, just stop by or call. If you are in more than one club, you pay the full price for the first club, then only $12 for each $14.99 club, and only $10 for each $12.99 club!
