You may register in two ways: 

by calling 417-886-0440 or in person at our Springfield, MO store.

WEEKENDS WITH SG CROP  on August 15-16

• Friday 10 am - midnight
• Saturday 10 am - 11 pm
• optional Thursday (August 14) 10 am - 6 pm

Location:
• The classroom in the SG store. We have room for 22 people.
Price:
• $45 per person
• Thursday option is an additional $15

Crop fee will include:
• Half of an 8-foot table or a full 6-foot table
• Snacks and drinks
• Access to electricity and wireless internet
• A $15 goodie bag
• Door prizes

Crop fee will not include:
• Meals (there are many area restaurants that deliver everything from pizza to sandwiches to complete meals, and also many places to eat within 5 minutes of SG)

The Big Picture: How to participate as a seller...

1. Advance registration is required. Sign up begins now.

2. Purchase space -- $20 for a full 8' table or $10 for half of an 8' table (only one person per space)

3. Items can be set up on the two days prior to the sale.

4. No need to be present at the sale -- SG personnel will staff the sale.

5. SG will take care of all transactions.

6. All items must be packaged and sold in increments of $1.

7. You MUST visit SG in person to pick up your packet with the selling and packaging rules, 

and labels for your items.

8. You will receive a store credit equaling 75% of the total of your sales.

9. Call 417-886-0440 to reserve your spot.

The Big Picture: How to participate as a buyer...

1. Visit SG on Friday and/or Saturday, July 25-26.

2. All the usual forms of payment will be accepted.

3. All sales are final. No returns on garage sale items.

4. Come prepared to snag some great bargains!

In addition to the 10th birthday hoopla we have coming up in October, we had a family/business meeting last week and did our best to plan out the big events for the rest of the year. Here's a brief overview of what SG has in store for you, and a preliminary timeline!

July:

• a new service-oriented card-making project that will warm the hearts of those who participate, and those who receive

• a "garage sale" to help our local customers find new homes for supplies they no longer want or need

• a plan to gather donations of paper and stickers for hospitalized children and/or nursing home residents

• a renovation project that will include better lighting in the store (finally!)

• an additional option in the Super Sketch Club

August:

• an additional weekend crop, based on your requests and the fact that the one already scheduled is sold out and has a good-sized waiting list

October:

• a 10th birthday celebration on Oct. 3-4, including classes with Prima educator and mixed media artist Ken Oliver

• two new sketch books by Allison Davis and Debbie Sanders: a double-page Christmas layout book, and a Christmas card and tag book

November:

• a full weekend of classes on Nov. 14-15 with technique-guru Tammy Tutterow -- you'll recognize her from the beautiful tutorials she designs for each issue of CREATE magazine

As soon as possible:

• grand opening of the gallery available on our website for you to use to upload your layouts and other projects

the amazing ken oliver...coming to SG!

We spotted these photos of Ken Oliver on Facebook today. He's been featured in "Where Women Create" magazine. Ken has just relocated his crafting home base to Indiana, and we can't wait for him to make the trip to Missouri.

Ken's crafting journey working for Unibind and Spellbinders has taken him all over the United States and beyond, and with his job change to working for Prima, we know he'll create a beautiful project for the classes he'll teach at SG on Oct. 3-4. The paid class will be most likely be a mini-book, and then all day Saturday, Ken will be teaching free mini-classes in the lobby, plus adding in his own brand of fun to our festivities.

It's going to be a great weekend!

It's finally time to announce the date for our gigantic tenth birthday celebration this fall! We know you have no control over ballgames and weddings and visits from in-laws, but we do want to give you the chance to save some dates that are going to be special days for us -- and you're all invited!

We've been planning this for months, and now it's time to let you in on the news. When you start planning fall activities, be sure to make room for a couple of days of fun with the gang at SG on Friday, Oct. 3 and Saturday, Oct. 4.

Our tenth birthday party is going to be the biggest celebration we've hosted, and you know we've had some great ones! We're going to kick off the weekend with a gorgeous class taught Friday evening by Ken Oliver, a Prima educator and mixed media artist extraordinaire. Many of you will remember Ken from our birthday hoopla in 2010. We're so thrilled that he has agreed to come back and celebrate with us again!

Here's what we know so far about our Saturday activities...specific details about each item will follow at a later date.

• SG-logo tote bags filled with scrapbooking goodies for the first 300 customers;

• A table in the lobby will be mounded over with 200 "birthday presents," and the first 200 customers each get to unwrap one -- some of the prizes will be worth over $200;

• Free SG page kit with purchase;

• A special "Super-Saver Scrapbooking" session at a great price, and with some unbelievable free gifts to help you create three awesome layouts;

• Free mini-classes all day long, taught by Ken Oliver from Prima;
