New Simple Stories is here!
All three of the new Simple Stories collections just arrived at SG. Say Cheese, Smarty Pants, and December Documented are truly bright and cheerful in person!

August Sketch Day Two layouts...
LOCAL CUSTOMERS:
We hope you can join us Saturday, August 17 for Saturday sketch sessions by Allison Davis (top layout) and Debbie Sanders (bottom layout).
How it works:
• Pre-register for sessions at 10am or 2pm by calling 417-886-0440;
• Bring basic tools and adhesives;
• Receive two free computer sketches;
• Make one double-page layout, your favorite of the two choices;
• Pay for papers used -- the total usually comes to a little over $4.
Options:
• If you want to make both the layouts from a particular Saturday, order a duplicate set of paper when you register. Order must be placed prior to the Saturday class.
• If you want to purchase the embellishment add-on (shown below), you can order it when you register. (This embellishment is not used on the layout samples shown above, but is offered for those of you who want to add another level of interest and creativity to your pages.) All embellishment add-on orders must be placed prior to the Saturday class.
Kits:
• All kits must be requested before the class activities take place on Saturday.
• Order a kit by calling 417-886-0440.
• The fee for a kit is $5, and is due at the time the request is made.
• If you need the kit shipped to you, the shipping charge is an additional $5.99.
• The best deal for our long-distance customers? Join the monthly Super Sketch Club and get the Super-Saver three layout kit, the Sketch Day One layout kit, and the Sketch Day Two layout kit (materials and sketches for five double-page layouts plus two bonus sketches) for $20 plus $6.99 shipping.

Online store progress
If we had any doubts about the viability of our expanded online store, they're gone! The Simple Stories promotion from a couple of days ago was a huge success, as was the launch of the My Mind's Eye lines a couple of weeks ago.
We're still in our "old" online store, but each day, we're getting closer to the switch-over to the new site, and becoming more confident that the expansion was the right move for us.
The whole concept is that SG wants to be your local scrapbook store -- no matter where you live! The new customer loyalty program we've alluded to will do just that -- treat you to the same benefits our customers here in Springfield receive. We can't wait to tell you all the details, but the bottom line is that you will save money with each and every purchase you make with us online -- no hoops to jump through, no extra time necessary on your part. Just no-effort rewards! Every order.
Shipping costs are also a concern, and we'll be doing everything possible to continue to keep them as low as possible. The truth is that in addition to the "actual" costs of shipping, there are hidden costs, like boxes and packing materials. We'll do everything we can to keep shipping costs reasonable, and there will also be an option to qualify for free shipping.
In addition, we kept our promise to you during our ordering at CHA -- complete collections of everything, so that you have all the choices available to you in one spot!
And thanks for the positive response to SG's new downloadable "sketch magazine," with the first issue scheduled for January. As someone who has worked with publications all her life, I'm extremely excited about this. My entire adult life has been a blur of yearbook, newspaper, newsletter, brochure, and handbook design, and I'm so excited about the chance to design and edit this new publication. The possibilities are endless!

Thanks so much for the response to the bundles! We know that many of you jumped in quickly to take advantage of the special offer, but may want to add to your pre-order with other Simple Stories items.

So that you don't have to pay a second shipping charge, through Thursday you can use shipping code SSCOMBINE and we'll combine any orders with your SS pre-order from earlier today. Don't forget that all the new Teresa Collins collections will be available Thursday!

We're telling you this because we didn't want there to be a misunderstanding and have anyone upset because photos of Disney characters and attractions are not used in the book.
