August Sketch Day One layouts...

(There are other titles to choose from if you don't want to use the "sweet child of mine" block.)

 LOCAL CUSTOMERS:
We hope you can join us Saturday, August 10 for Saturday sketch sessions by Allison Davis (top layout) and Debbie Sanders (bottom layout). 

How it works:
• Pre-register for sessions at 10am or 2pm by calling 417-886-0440;
• Bring basic tools and adhesives;
• Receive two free computer sketches;
• Make one double-page layout, your favorite of the two choices;
• Pay for papers used -- the total usually comes to a little over $4.

Options:
• If you want to make both the layouts from a particular Saturday, order a duplicate set of paper when you register. Order must be placed prior to the Saturday class.
• If you want to purchase the embellishment add-on (shown below), you can order it when you register. This embellishment is not used on the layout samples shown above, but is offered for those of you who want to add another level of interest and creativity to your pages. All embellishment add-on orders must be placed prior to the Saturday class.

Kits:
• All kits must be requested before the class activities take place on Saturday.
• Order a kit by calling 417-886-0440.
• The fee for a kit is $5, and is due at the time the request is made.
• If you need the kit shipped to you, the shipping charge is an additional $5.99.
• The best deal for our long-distance customers? Join the monthly Super Sketch Club and get the Super-Saver three layout kit, the Sketch Day One layout kit, and the Sketch Day Two layout kit (materials and sketches for five double-page layouts plus two bonus sketches) for $20 plus $6.99 shipping.

Options:
• If you occasionally want to make both layouts, order a duplicate set of paper ONLINE ONLY at scrapbookgeneration.com. (Limited number of extra sets available. Once they sell out, they're gone. Click here to order.
 
• If you ALWAYS want make both layouts, enroll in Super Sketch Club Double Up. For an additional $10 per month, you'll receive a duplicate set of identical materials for the Sketch Day One and Sketch Day Two portions of the club. • You can choose to order the embellishment that coordinates with the layouts this week. The embellishment this week is a $5.99 bits and pieces layered sticker set. This embellishment is not used on the layout samples, but is offered for those of you who want to add another level of interest and creativity to your pages. Updates on SG projects...

Sketch Magic with Simple Stories book:
• This magical sketch book is headed to the printer in just a few days!
• Sample layouts in the book will show you just how versatile the Say Cheese collection is -- it's not just for Disney! We'll show that the collection also works for birthdays, parties, water fun, travel, VBS, and even sports!
• Later today, we'll announce "bundle" options which will include collection packs, the sketch books, and more. We'll be offering some compelling reasons to purchase and pre-order from SG!

New SG website:
• We're working on it, but it will still be several weeks before the new e-commerce website is up and going. Lots of fine-tuning necessary, so that we have everything right from the very beginning.
• Until then, we'll just keep adding the new collections that come in to our current site.
• With the new website, we'll be unveiling our new online customer loyalty program. We think it will be a powerful incentive for you to shop with us first!
• Also in the works in conjunction with the new website: a free monthly downloadable "sketch magazine" which will debut in January. The big picture is that the magazine will feature a different manufacturer's design team each month, and the team members' work using SG sketches as a starting point. We already have several leading companies lined up for the first few months, and you will love the inspiration you'll receive each month. Of course, we'll also be featuring Allison Davis and her sketch expertise, along with myself, and local creative gals Lindsey Amschler, Katrina Hunt, and others. I'm more excited about this magazine than with anything we've done in a long time! It's going to be fabulous...and free!

Next new CHA lines: Teresa Collins Designs!

Four beautiful new collections by Teresa Collins Designs will be the next new CHA shipment to arrive at SG. Family Stories, Masquerade Party, Memorabilia, and Santa's List will be available in our online store on Thursday! (We're still operating out of the "old" website. More about that in another blog post today!)

Below are some projects that were displayed at CHA -- we were really impressed by the patterns, colors, and variety of fun embellishments included with each of the four collections.

New Allison Davis free sketch download for Simple Stories!

Allison has created another clever layout for Simple Stories as part of their Life Documented Design Team, and she takes you through her creative process in a post on the SS blog. The best part? She's also made a sketch of this layout that you can download on the Simple Stories blog.

We'll be making these three layouts Saturday, August 3 in the Debbie Sanders Super-Saver Scrapbooking sessions at Scrapbook Generation. As always, your cost to make these three layouts at SG is an amazing $9.

New My Mind's Eye already in online store!

Seeing the new My Mind's Eye collections in person was fabulous. Thanks so much to K.C. and the rest of the MME crew for making us feel right at home in the MME booth at CHA. My personal favorite new collection is Chalk Studio -- which you can tell by the photos I took!

The new collections include Cut & Paste, Chalk Studio, Happy Haunting, Mistletoe Magic, and Vintage Christmas (also pictured below). To see the entire collections, click here.

Don't forget that SG is one of the first online stores anywhere to ALREADY have all the new MME goodies, and that all orders placed for the new My Mind's Eye products (by midnight Saturday, July 27) will ship on Monday, July 29!
