Scrapbooking is my creative outlet but it also allows me to preserve special memories that my children can look back on later in life.

Scrapbooking is what allows me to keep my sanity. Don't get me wrong, I love to preserve our family's memories but I use it as "me" time, the time to unwind and relax after a long stressful day.

Scrapbooking gives me the opportunity to creatively record the history of my life and that of others. It also gives me lots of hours of fellowship with others and a sense of accomplishment.

Scrapbooking allows me to keep my family memories in order. Before, our pictures would be in boxes or regular "plain jane" photo albums with no dates or important details. Now my boys just love going through my books laughing at ourselves. And who knew....I am creative after all.

When I was a young mother, I felt that I would always remember everything about my children's lives and even though I took photos, I did not take the time to write anything down. Now that I am a grandmother, I know how important it is to take the time to record the details. The role that scrapbooking plays in my life is to preserve these precious memories for my enjoyment now and for my children and grandchildren to enjoy in the future.

I scrapbook because I enjoy it and I also do it for my kids! They love to look at the books and are always excited to see the new pages when I get home from a crop! They told me that I need to "assign" each scrapbook to a specific kid (I have 3) so that they don't have to fight over then when I'm dead and gone! It makes me feel good that they appreciate all the work and love that I put into my books!

Scrapbooking is something I love to do because it gives me a creative outlet, as well as some "Me Time" away from the kids. Of course, there are also times where I scrapbook WITH my kids, and that is fun too. Either way, I know it is time where I can relax, enjoy myself, and do something productive for the family at the same time.

At this point in my life it is my outlet to save my grandaughter's memories and special moments... As I go back I can relive my grown children's lives as well. Kind of a trip down memory lane with scissors, stickies and pretty paper!

Scrapbooking is my escape! When I go into my scrapbook room and make layouts with beautiful papers, pictures, and embellishments, I go into my own little world and forget about all of life's stresses!!

Scrapbooking is my time to myself after the kids are in bed. It allows me to record the memories we make and reflect on fun times!

Scrapbooking provides me a chance to reminisce. Sometimes the grandchildren and I look through my old scrapbooks. Three of them are old enough to read so the journaling reminds us of the event. This provides an opportunity to share in more detail about what each of us remember. Scrapbooking has allowed me to meet new people by attending crops and retreats. I can't forget the part about the shopping....as with most scrapbookers, I have more paper and products than I will ever use. I just can't resist the beautiful papers that are available. Therefore, I say scrapbooking plays a big part in my life right now.

Scrapbooking allows me to get pictures of my family out of boxes or on the computer and into albums so everyone can see what a great family I have. Also, scrapbooking allows me to have a creative outlet--since my life can be a little "beige" it is fun to take beautiful colorful papers, embellishments and whatever else and create something truly wonderful--plus it lets me "show off" in an unassuming way.

I would have to say it is what is driving me insane. I have so many ideas I want turn into pages and projects that I'm going crazy. It's my obsession. I think about it WAY more than I should. Oh, I think I may have a problem!

It is three fold for me... 1) it is my constant entertainment. I follow a lot of blogs, message boards, and shops. I can never get bored of looking at things. So I can always be entertained. 2) it allows me to be creative. I use to do dark room photography but with kids that room gave a way to storage :D I use to paint too but find scrapbooking allows me to be creative and productive. 3) It gives me a sense of friendship. I have meet people online and IRL who I have something in common with and it makes the world not so lonely.

Scrapbooking is my therapy, and my addiction. Does Dr. Phil do a therapy show for Scrapaddicts? I seriously enjoy the creative inspiration and ideas that I get from fellow scrappers!

Like many others, I scrap to give my children something they will have to look back on when they are grown and now how much they are loved and relive the parts of their lives they probably won't remember (I can't remember much of mine anyway!) I also scrap to escape the stress of life. Because I am a stay at home mom, "home" isn't always a getaway from a long day for me---but my scrap room is. It's all mine!!! Even so, scrapping isn't only a passion of mine-the kids love it too. So occasionally I'll share and let them play too!

The first 7 years of my marriage were very hard. We married young (16 & 18), my husband drank and we received lots of financial support from both families. So I have had a tendency to not think about those times. When I began scrapbooking, starting with the early years and the births of our first 2 children, I had the chance to celebrate all the good times, the growing times, the blessings we received even in those first 7 years. I think I will always love scrapbooking for giving me the chance to do that.

Scrapbooking for me is being able to use my creative side while expressing my emotional side. I get to play with fun and beautiful products & I'm documenting life's moments in the process. I love how I feel when I complete a page or a project - so satisfying and I love how it's a hobby that my family gets to benefit from as well. Now if I can just find more time to do it, I'd be one happy scrapper!

Scrapbooking gives me a way to record and re-live wonderful memories. It is also a great way to exercise my mind, and allows me to express myself creatively. I hope that someday my son looks at my scrapbook pages and feels my love for him and our family. I hope that my pages give their subjects a new perspective on things, because they certainly give me new perspectives. And finally, scrapbooking gives me a legitimate reason to buy all of those pretty, pretty things: paper, ribbon, jewels, pens, stickers...I could go on and on!

It gives me opportunities to reflect upon where I have been and where I am headed. The most rewarding is the time spent with my dear friends who also share this passion with me. It's so fun to share our work, ideas, suggestions, fun finds and of course shop for scrapbooking items together. I love creating (anything) and scrapbooking covers my love for paper, fabric, paints, sewing, photos and relationship recording. Scrapbooking is an addiction which is in every part of my day whether it's thinking about the pictures that I will take or the subject. What a wholesome hobby/obsession!

When I started scrapbooking it was to let my creative side out. I was so excited that I got my sisters, friends & niece scrapbooking to the point where they were scrappin' more than I was. Now my last child has went off to college & I'm trying to get back to it. Like everyone else it releives a stressful day at work, cheers me up when I've had a bad day and blessed me with many happy memories. If I could I would make it my fulltime profession opposed to just a part time hobby.

My husband plays in a band, fishes, and hunts. Those are his hobbies and the things he does to slow down and enjoy life. I used to just enjoy the time when he was doing "his thing". Now I encourage them because those are the times I SCRAPBOOK!!! I sm so blessed that he has several hobbies....
