In honor of five years of sketches at SG...

SG sketches are five years old this month! Here's part of what I wrote on the blog five years ago as we were starting an adventure that has been a success beyond our wildest dreams.

From our April 2007 blog post...
"This Saturday, we're trying something new with our free Sketch Sessions...My vision is that we provide a service for two types of scrapbookers, first, those who are so busy that they don't get as many pages completed as they would like; and second, those who would like some help with design and color choices.

A scrapbook sketch is like a blueprint for making a page, and it can make scrapbooking a breeze!...We're offering three free sessions, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. During the session, you are given a copy of the sketch (which includes specific sizes of page elements and photos), free...I'll have a sample page made with the suggested cardstock and papers, or you can choose papers in your own color combinations.

You will have time to build your page, using the sketch, and if you want any help, I'll be available to offer suggestions for titles or other embellishments you might like to add. The session will be a quick and inexpensive way to get a designer look! I personally love creating scrapbook pages from sketches. I use them all the time, and love how you can use the same ones over and over and get totally different looks, just by changing the color scheme and papers."

Extra bonus for April 2012 sketch sessions...
If you attend the Debbie Sanders sketch sessions this Saturday, April 14, you'll receive an exclusive bonus Debbie sketch that won't be published in any of our books. You'll also get two punches on your Studio G Reward Card! (Members of the Super Sketch Club will also receive this bonus sketch!) We'll be offering the same rewards for next week's Allison Davis sketch sessions!

Debbie Sanders sketch layout for Saturday, April 14.

Smiles to you, too, Janet. Why did I think you lived in California? Now I'm totally confused! (We'll roll out the red carpet if you let us know in advance!)
