NSD crop information...

As the time nears for SG's weekend crop, here are a few extra pieces of information that will be helpful to those of you attending. (We only have two spots still available -- call 417-886-0440.)

• Crop building doors will open at 9:30 am on Friday. The crop officially starts at 10 am, but this will allow you to unload and get settled first. There is a ramp in front of the Sprint part of the shopping center which will take you right to the front door of the crop building, which is between SG and Sprint. We have a couple of rolling carts that we'll have available for you to use.

• Karin will be making a seating chart to make the best use of the space. If you or your group wants to be with specific other people and we don't already know about it, please send an email to karin@mail.com and let her know by Tuesday evening. Also, if you are a member of the ScrapnYap (Peeps) message board and are attending, please make sure that Karin knows so that she can seat you with the group.

• Crop doors will open at 9 am on Saturday, to cut down on congestion in the parking lot (SG opens at 10 am). Because we'll have limited parking when both croppers and shoppers are combined, we're hoping that the croppers will be able to park closer to Battlefield Road, leaving the area directly in front of SG open for shoppers. (And the more carpooling this day, the better!)

• Drinks will be served in cans and bottles, so you might consider bringing along your favorite cup with a lid.

• Crazy weather this time of year, and you know that getting the temperature right for everyone is impossible. Please make sure to bring a light jacket or sweater just in case you need it.

• We'll have special tables set up for electronic items, but it would be a good idea to bring power strips and extension cords, plus perhaps tape to secure any cords that might be a hazard in walking paths.

• Allison Davis has created four great paid classes for the crop -- all will be offered on Friday and will take place in Studio G, our classroom. We'll be showing those here later, with information about how to register and/or purchase a kit.

• As for information about dining possibilities, and about the layout contests, we'll have that for you at your place when you arrive on Friday.
