• about us
Scrapbook Generation is a Springfield, Missouri retail store started in 2004 by two sets of sisters: Debbie Sanders and Karin Rush, and Debbie's daughters Stacey Atchley and Allison Davis. In 2010, the family business expanded to include Scrapbook Generation Publishing.••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Getting started..." by Debbie Sanders co-owner of Scrapbook Generation
You know how sometimes you agonize over a purchase of a few dollars, but decide instantly on something expensive, like a car? That reminds me of my decision to open a scrapbook store, arguably the most financially significant decision I have ever made, yet also one of the quickest “big” decisions I’ve made.

It’s all my sister Karin’s fault! In March of 2004 when I half-jokingly mentioned we could open a store together, I never dreamed she would jump at the chance. I found out she was as eager to leave her near-30-year teaching career behind as I was.

Within a week, Karin and I and my two daughters, Stacey Atchley and Allison Davis, were sitting down at our favorite restaurant, looking through folders of information I had gathered. There on the spot, two sets of sisters agreed to cooperate, and Scrapbook Generation was born at a table loaded with baked potato soup, chicken strips, Diet Coke, and high hopes.
