Last minute craziness before Scrap-a-Palooza this Saturday...
As if we're not already a little goofy, we've really stretching ourselves to the limit this week, and I'll readily admit that it's mainly (okay, totally) my fault. I did get a little carried away ordering stuff for Scrap-a-Palooza. With 82 new paper collections (over 1,000 new individual papers!) arriving over the past few weeks -- and some still arriving today and Thursday -- there's a lot to be done.
There are also lots of fun new products besides papers and matching embellishments, like a huge amount of new edger punches by Fiskars, EK Success, and Martha Stewart. Allison is doing one of her big-screen demos on them, and my favorites of the new ones are "chains," which punch both sides and leave a connected strip of flowers, circles, stars, scallops, etc., instead of just having the design on one side. I love them!
We'll also have the long-awaited Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Glaze by Tattered Angels, in lots and lots of colors. There's also a huge new supply of clear acrylic stamps, templates, and other fun goodies like butterfly embellishments from Jenni Bowlin and metal embellishments from Making Memories. And our supply of the newest Prima flowers and jeweled swirls and shapes is absolutely huge, and so pretty! We'll also have lots of new goodies from Maya Road, including chipboard albums and lots of fun trinkets and pins for you vintage fans.
A new addition to the festivities is a paid card class that Stacey will be teaching, and Allison has three layout classes that you can enroll for. The awesome local Design Team from Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker will be at Palooza again teaching the three free mini-classes, and she's using her newest collections, which are so cute, and that will also be available for you to purchase.
I haven't talked to Chris Louzader from the radio station for a few days because she's been out of town, but I'm sure I'll get an updated number from her today. There are still a few spots left, but I just don't know how many. If you've never been to a Scrap-a-Palooza, you don't know what you are missing. There's nothing quite like it! Great food, great shopping, great free stuff, great classes, great demos, and just an overall great atmosphere. People always say how much fun it is to be around others who love papercrafting, and how much inspiration they go home with. We're so proud to be a part of bringing such an event to the scrapbookers in the Springfield area!
