Behind the scenes...

I'm loving all the compliments Allison (who created the beautiful layout for the book cover) and I are getting over the new Sketch Fusion book, but there are others involved in this project that I want to mention.

We were on a pretty tight time schedule to get the cover done for catalogs and publicity. Allison -- who luckily works well under pressure -- created the layout with the new 24/Seven collection. Once that was completed, we turned everything over to Stacey, who designed the cover of my dreams! She did what I think is a perfect job of changing the style of our covers to meet our new focus. She really has a talent for design, and I appreciate that she can make our ideas and concepts come to life on the printed page.

For three weeks now, with the holidays right in the middle of everything, Allison and I have been working on nothing but our regular club kits and Sketch Fusion. And we're not through yet! During all this time, Karin and Stacey, along with Lindsey, have kept the store running, which has allowed us the time we needed without other responsibilities. Without them making sure that we were kept free of other pressures, there is no way we would be this far along with the book.

If there were ever a group project by SG, Sketch Fusion is it. Thanks to Stacey and Karin and Lindsey for working so hard behind the scenes to make it all possible!

Love the cover! I can only imagine all the hard work that went into it by everyone! I am thankful you all have chosen to share your talents with us. We are the lucky ones! All the SG ladies are wonderful and amazing. Thanks for all you do! I hope the new book and partnership is a huge success for you. Congrats! Can't wait to see the bundles you have planned. I am itching to get my hands on it all!

I love, love, love this collaboration! What I am wondering is how this will affect the Super Sketch Club. One of my favorite manufacturer's is Simple Stories. I'm hoping this doesn't mean SSC members are going to see less (or none) of them in our kits. This would make me very sad. My 2 cents...that's all. Still excited for this new book though!

Thanks for the compliments! We're excited, too!

Steffanie: You're worried about nothing...the two things (the book and the club) have nothing to do with each other. We just always choose collections we think will appeal to the ladies who attend the classes in our store, and to club members. Expect to continue to see beautiful papers from Echo Park, Simple Stories, My Mind's Eye, Fancy Pants, American Crafts, and other leading manufacturers!

Welcome, Steffanie! Even with all the beautiful paper out there, some times it's harder than you would imagine to pick something that would appeal to lots of people but isn't something we've used for another project! -- Debbie
